The Bridge ("the App") provides bridge status updates for the Woods Memorial Bridge in Beaufort, South Carolina. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.

Device Token: When you enable push notifications, Apple assigns your device a unique token. We store this token on our server solely to deliver bridge status notifications to your device.
Notification Preferences: Your notification settings, including whether notifications are enabled and your preferred notification time window, are stored on our server to deliver notifications at appropriate times.
Camera Preferences: Your camera display preferences are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
The App does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information. The App does not require you to create an account.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information exclusively to:
- Deliver push notifications about bridge openings during your preferred time window
- Improve the reliability and performance of our notification service

4. Third-Party Services
Apple Push Notification Service (APNs): Used to deliver push notifications to your device. Apple's privacy policy governs their handling of notification data.
SCDOT / 511sc.org and City of Beaufort Traffic Cameras: The App displays publicly available traffic camera feeds from these third-party providers. We do not send any user data to these services. These cameras are owned, operated, and maintained entirely by their respective entities.
Sponsored content may include links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
5. Data Storage and Security
Device tokens and notification preferences are stored on our secure server. We implement reasonable security measures to protect this information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your device token and notification preferences for as long as you use the App. If you uninstall the App or disable notifications, your device token will become inactive and will be periodically removed from our server during routine maintenance.
7. Your Choices
Notifications: You can enable or disable push notifications at any time in the App's Settings or in your device's Settings.
Uninstall: Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored preferences and your device token will no longer receive notifications.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

TheBridge App LLC ("Bridge" or "we") provides this Website or Mobile App (collectively, the "App") for your use, subject to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and all applicable laws and regulations. Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing and/or using the App, you fully and unconditionally accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
The App provides real-time status updates, opening predictions, scheduled opening times, and traffic camera feeds for the Woods Memorial Bridge in Beaufort, South Carolina. The App also delivers push notifications about bridge openings. The "Double Check" feature displays live traffic camera feeds so users can visually verify bridge and traffic conditions.
3. Informational Use Only — No Guarantees
All bridge status data, predictions, schedules, and notifications provided by the App are for informational and suggestion purposes only. The information may not always be accurate, complete, or up to date. You should not rely solely on the App when making travel, routing, or timing decisions. The App is intended as a helpful tool to suggest possible route alternatives — it is not a guarantee of bridge conditions. When using the App, you may find that actual bridge conditions differ from the information provided, so exercise your independent judgment and use the App at your own risk. You are responsible at all times for your conduct and its consequences. We are not responsible for any delays, missed appointments, detours, or inconveniences resulting from inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable information.
4. Safe Use — Do Not Use While Driving
The Double Check camera feature and all other features of the App are intended to be used only when you are safely parked or not operating a vehicle. Do not view camera feeds, interact with the App, or check bridge status while driving.
You are solely responsible for obeying all traffic laws and operating your vehicle safely. The Bridge App assumes no liability for accidents, injuries, or violations resulting from use of the App while driving or operating a vehicle.
5. Traffic Camera Feeds — Third-Party Content
The App displays publicly available traffic camera feeds provided by the South Carolina Department of Transportation through 511sc.org and by the City of Beaufort Traffic Camera system. These camera feeds are owned, operated, and maintained entirely by their respective entities. The Bridge App does not own, operate, control, or maintain any of these cameras.
Camera feeds may be unavailable, offline, delayed, or interrupted at any time due to maintenance, technical issues, or other factors beyond our control. We make no guarantees regarding the availability, accuracy, or quality of any camera feed. Any issues with camera feeds are the responsibility of SCDOT / 511sc.org and the City of Beaufort.
6. Push Notifications
The App may send push notifications regarding bridge openings and status changes. You may enable or disable notifications at any time through the App's settings or your device settings. Notification delivery depends on Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and network conditions, and cannot be guaranteed. Notifications may be delayed or not delivered. Do not rely solely on notifications for time-sensitive travel decisions.
7. Sponsored Content
The App may display advertisements and sponsored content from local businesses and community partners. Sponsored content is clearly identified. We are not responsible for the products, services, or claims of any advertiser.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, graphics, and code in the App are the property of The Bridge App and its licensors, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
9. User Conduct
You agree not to misuse the App, including but not limited to: attempting to disrupt or overload our servers, reverse-engineering the App, using the App for any unlawful purpose, or interfering with other users' access to the service.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Bridge status information and predictions are approximations and should be treated as suggestions only.
11. Limitation of Liability; Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Bridge App and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to damages for loss of time, missed travel connections, route decisions made based on App information, or other tangible or intangible losses.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us, the App, TheBridge App LLC, its creators, designers, owners, agents, officers, and employees, harmless from any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including attorney's fees, due to or arising out of your use of the App and/or breach of these Terms.
12. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the revised Terms on this website or in the App, and you agree that your use of the App after such changes will constitute your acceptance of such changes.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
